SKINNER, Sharon Elizabeth (nee Podd) – In her 73rd year passed away peacefully with her
loving family by her side on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Hospice Peterborough. Beloved wife of
Donald William Skinner for 49 years. Loving mother of Michael Andrew Skinner (Catia
Aleksandra da Silva Skinner), Tammy Elizabeth Skinner. Cherished nana of Larissa Elizabeth,
William Clifford, and Miguel Joseph Skinner. Beloved daughter of the late Sydney and Gertrude
Podd. We gather to honour Sharon’s life and legacy. She was a woman of strength, resilience, and
unwavering spirit. Sharon taught us the power of endurance and facing life’s challenges head-on.
She believed in the beauty of diversity and the importance of embracing each other’s uniqueness.
Sharon’s love knew no boundaries, reaching both earthly realms and the heavens above. She
reminded us to cherish each day, and face problems with grace. As we bid our farewell, we carry
Sharon’s spirit within us, spreading her love, kindness, and compassion throughout our lives. We
express our gratitude to Hospice Peterborough for their exceptional care. Sharon’s presence will
forever be irreplaceable, and her memory will guide us to live with strength and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to join a Celebration of Life/Reception from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on
Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd.)., donations may be
