Obituary
Sharon Carol (Hawkins) Solotwinski of Houston, B.C passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Sharon was born on April 14, 1946, in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. She moved to Telkwa from Saskatchewan with her parents, Clifford and Olga Hawkins, when she was 16. In 1967 she married Andy and moved to Houston in 1968, where they raised their two kids, Mona and Devin.
Sharon was a hard worker doing many jobs (postmaster at Canada Post and janitorial at Sullivan Motor Products, Finning, police station, and many other businesses in town). She loved making perogies, going to cheer (yell) for the Luckies, and watching curling and the Canucks.
She volunteered for many causes involving her kids and grandchildren.
Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. There was always lots of good food and presents under the tree.
Sharon is survived by her two children Mona (Bradley Stauber) West, and Devin (Pam) Solotwinski, five grandchildren Randa, Brandon, Brittany, Brooke, Brenna, and her 5 great-grandchildren Carter, Vivienne, Kylie, Brogan, and Damon.
She will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for her witty comments, her love of giving, her heart, and most importantly as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
There will be no service at her request.
