It is with profound sadness that the family of Mark Schoenberger announce his passing on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at the age of 53 years old.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nicole (nee Brassard); children: Noëlle (Nathan) Pottle, Kamille (Rian) Griffin, Chantal (Martin) Moroney, Ben (Alexandra) Schoenberger, Amélie Schoenberger, and Josée Schoenberger; grandchildren: Zurie and Kateri Pottle, Theodore and Avila Griffin, William and Augustine Schoenberger; parents: Frank and Hilda (nee Kaup) Schoenberger; brothers: Kevin (Corrina) Schoenberger, Graham (Annette) Schoenberger, and Grant (Jennifer) Schoenberger; as well as many family members and friends.
Mark was predeceased by his daughter, Isabelle.
Mark grew up just outside of Riviere Qui Barre, Alberta. He attended the University of Alberta and became a professional forester in 1996. He and his family moved to Chetwynd, B.C. in 1997 where they lived for 6 years. They moved to Hinton, AB in 2003, and moved to St. Albert in 2011. He was very involved in the Catholic community, as well as his children’s extra curricular activities. Mark joined the Hinton biathlon group with Kamille, Chantal, and Ben; was an extra in Noëlle and Ben’s school plays; was a coach for Amélie’s soccer team; and taught archery to Josée.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 5:30 pm in St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, followed directly by a prayer vigil at 6:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 10th at 11:30 am in Holy Family Parish, 75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB.
