Obituary of Sandra Margaret McTaggart
McTaggart, Sandra “Sandi”
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our angel, Sandi after a short, exceptionally stoic battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her adored son, Kyle and her sister Susan. She is survived by Michael, her best friend and husband of 37 years; Charlene Taylor, her sister; Doris Taylor, her mother; Ann McGill her aunt and Lois McTaggart, her mother-in-law. Sandi will be deeply missed by Wanda and Mark Badge, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law and their entire family. She leaves behind close friends who she has known for decades and wonderful neighbours.
Sandi exemplified the best of us. She was selfless, generous, kind, intelligent and funny. Sandi was also an exceptional mother, devoted wife, very hard worker and a wonderful cook. It will be hard to live without her.
Cremation has occurred. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Sandi in the Emergency Department of both Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospital and on wards Connell 3 and Kidd 9. The care was outstanding. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Sandi’s memory to Epilepsy Canada and the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation – KGH would be appreciated by her family.
