Sammy Seiji Oye passed peacefully on Friday February. 24th after a lengthy battle with Lung Disease, with loved ones at his side.Sam was the son of his late, loving parents Masaye and Sannosuke Oye. He was born in East York and raised in Scarborough. He is survived by his siblings Michael Oye (Lois), Patricia McFarlane (Alistair), Marie Suehiro (Joe), Kay Foster (Larry), Gerry Oye (Donna). He was an Uncle and Great Uncle to many Nieces and Nephews, and a Great Great Uncle to a Nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, a Niece, and a Great Niece.
He lived and worked in Toronto until he moved to Stratford in 2011. He loved the move here as so much less traffic and rushing. Sam was very much a loner, content in the things that made him happy; gardening, fishing, oldies music and sports on T.V.
The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Robert Chernish (Respirologist) Kitchener, and Dr. Matthew MacDonald for their excellent and compassionate care.
There will be cremation and a Family Graveside Committal Service officiated by Rev. Gail Malcolm.
