Sadie Burry
September 27, 1929 – February 6, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Sarah Marie “Sadie” Burry.
Predeceased by her husband Chesley Burry; son David Burry; daughter Caroline Burry; granddaughter Crystal Burry; and grandson Sean Burry.
Leaving to mourn her children: Roslyn Dooley (John), Wayne Burry (Gail), Randy Burry, Linda Holland (Don), Shane Burry, Paul Burry (Sandra), Greg Burry and Steven Burry (Jackie); special friends: Dona and Jacob, Morgan; and a large circle of family and friends.
A mother who loved her children, grand children and great grandchildren and most of all her beloved husband Ches of 73 years. Our family were so fortunate to have her at 93. Sadie was an exceptional kind of special! She never spoke unkind of anyone and always encouraged those around her to do the same. Her kindness, compassion and especially her infectious smile will be remembered by all who knew and met her. So many online followers loved her beautiful smile and commented often. She loved her smoke and had many friends at her local Bingo hall Knights of Columbus. She had a long healthy life and loving relationship with her husband Ches. She took pride in the fact that she was the matriarch of her family and she felt fortunate to feel so much love from everyone around her every day of her life.
Our family would like to extend special thanks to our brother Greg and his son, Steven for their exceptional care through the years. Also a special thank you to her daughters Linda and Rosalind and son’s Shane and Randy and to her granddaughters for everything they have done to care for our parents during their most difficult times.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 2 p.m – 4 p.m. Funeral service will follow in Caul’s Chapel at 4 p.m. For those who are unable to attend the funeral in person but are wishing to do so virtually, please visit vimeo.com/event/2862306.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sadie’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
