It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Ruby Elizabeth Pike of Bay L’Argent announces her passing. Ruby passed away at the US Memorial Long Term Care in St. Lawrence on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the age of 80.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children, Joanne Pike (Peter Poole) of Halifax, Edgar Pike Jr. of Bay L’Argent, Kim Pike (Rodney Pike) of Harbour Mille, Mandy Reid (Roy Reid) of Winterland; 8 grandchildren, Natasha, Blake, Brayden, Jorden, Chelsea, Bradey, Quinton, Isaac; 4 great-grandchildren, Riley, Lilly, Ryder, Eliza; sister, Diane Banfield (Hayward) of Mount Pearl; brother, Wayne Goode (Margaret) of Winnipeg; sister-in-law, Nina Cahill; brothers-in-law, James Hooper of Marystown, Jack Winsor of St. John’s; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Pike; parents, Raymond & Alice Goode; parents-in-law, William & Charlotte Pike; sister, Mondella Hooper; sister-in-law, Melinda Winsor; brother-in-law, William Cahill.
The Pike Family will be having a private visitation for family and close friends at Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Road Creston, NL) on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A public visitation for Ruby will take place at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Bay L’Argent on Monday, August 28th, 2023 starting at 10:00am. A special Celebration of Life and Funeral service for Edgar and Ruby will take place at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church, Bay L’Argent on Monday, August 28th, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Inurnment to follow at St. Hilda’s Anglican Cemetery.
In Ruby’s memory donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of NL or flowers gratefully accepted.
