Obituary of Roy Andrew Schultz
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather Roy Andrew Schultz passed away peacefully on Monday September 11th, 2023 in Strathmore, Alberta, at the age of 93.
Roy is predeceased by his parents, Carl and Mina Schultz and his two brothers, Willard and Eddie.
He is survived by his wife Lydia; their 4 children, Donna Bertsch (Jeff), Karl Schultz (Verle-ann), Kelly Schultz (Val), Wendy McKimmie (James); his sister Eileen Risseuw; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Roy’s love of music and being in a band as a young man lead him to his wife Lydia of whom he was married to for 60 years. Together they raised there loving family and resided in Strathmore.
Roy worked for the County of Wheatland as a backhoe operator for 38 years from 1956 till his retirement in 1994.
He loved fishing out at Crowfoot Creek, curling with the family each year, and spending most of his time out in his yard or playing cards with everyone at family get togethers.
Roy will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later time.
