Roumen Gueorguiev
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved patriarch Roumen Gueorguiev. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Roumen Gueorguiev was the beloved husband of Snejka Gueorguieva and a loving father to Gabriela and Simona. He was also a cherished grandfather of Kayla and Amelia as well as father-in-law to Soheil Karkhanechi. He was born in Bulgaria on Feb. 17, 1959 and moved to Canada in 1997 with his family.
Roumen will forever be remembered for his incredible capacity for kindness and compassion, notably when the ones he loved needed it most. He was strong and passionate about protecting those he loved.
He loved to work in his garden with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed travelling with his family.
For the last three years, with unwavering strength, he fought the challenging battle with his illness while displaying immense courage and doing everything within his power to ensure the happiness and security of his loved ones.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday June 24, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7 West and Woodbridge) with burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
