Roseanne Wolf – age 86 of Knoxville. It is with great sadness and joy that we announce the death of our precious mother, Roseanne Patricia Millett Wolf, born October 31, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA took her last breath on earth on Saturday, May 20, 2023, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Not only was Roseanne a dedicated wife to David L. Wolf, outstanding mother, and member of Holy Ghost Parish for almost 70 years, she was the “perfect friend” to many. In addition to numerous volunteer positions in the Catholic Community, she also worked for the City of Knoxville in the Special Events Department for 15 years. Roseanne’s dedication to sharing her time, talents and treasures were deeply rooted in her strong Catholic faith. Because of her witty personality, she was passionate about celebrating her Halloween Birthday every single year by surprising friends and family in full costume. Our Halloweens will never be the same. She will be sadly missed by many, but she will finally rest in peace, free from suffering.
Roseanne is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Millett; husband of 69 years, David L. Wolf; and son, David Jay Wolf.
She leaves behind her children, Tom Wolf (Konomi), Margaret Mynatt (James), John Wolf (Beth) and Anne Bugg (David); 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would also like to express their gratitude to the Caring Hearts team who provided extraordinary in-home care to both Roseanne and David for the last 7 years.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, May 29, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home with a rosary following. A mass and funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church with burial service following at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
