With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Rose Marie Barry (nee Pittman), aged 75 years. Mom passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s.
Leaving to mourn with a broken heart and a lifetime of beautiful memories, are her devoted husband of 58 years, Richard Barry; sons, John (Crystal), Mike (Vanessa), Denis (Felicia) and Joe (Mhairi); grandchildren, Leah, Jonathan (Natasha), Jack, James (Josie), Brianna (Jordan), Kersten (Wes), Emily (Sheldon), Miya (Dawson), Alyssa, Matthew, Noah and Arianna; six great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are her loving brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Mom was pre-deceased by her beloved son, Rick; parents, Elizabeth (nee Brake) & Patrick Pittman; parents-in-law, Bridget (nee Coady) & John Barry; and brother, Patrick Pittman.
Mom will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who knew you. Her unwavering dedication, love and support to our family and friends will be dearly missed. We will cherish a million wonderful memories, including sitting around the kitchen table enjoying her Sunday dinners, listening to her funny stories and, most of all, her sound advice. She was one of a kind!
We offer our sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at the Health Sciences Center for all their help and support.
The Barry Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes, Marystown on
Monday, September 11th
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Funeral Service will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 10:00am. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to be held at a later date.
In Rose’s memory, donations to the family would be appreciated or flowers gratefully accepted.
