It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Roland at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the age of 68 years. He will be missed by his good friend Denise Mills and his fur babies Chai and Charlie. Loving brother of Lise Melanson (Larry), Diane Julien (late Denis) and Rachel Leihey (Dennis). Dear uncle of Larry III (Amanda), Daniel (Natalie), Nathalie (Tony), Marc (Christine). Dear father of Roland Jr and Connie and grandfather of Joel, Samantha, Bailey, Chanelle and Amelie. Predeceased by his parents Lionel and Elizabeth Poulin.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Nurses in the ICU and Karine Mignault of the Hospice at TADH for their care and compassion.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no visitation or funeral will take place. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Humane Society or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
