The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Monday August 21, 2023 at the age of 93 years. Daughter of the late Xavier Lapointe and of the late Henriette (née Gaumond). Beloved wife of the late Frederick Carswell. Loving mother of Fernand Lapointe (feu Colette), Alfred Carswell (feu Margaret), Doris Soulière Desrochers (feu Mark and feu Henry), Jacqueline Desroches (feu Jean) (Réné), Margaret Stewart (feu Théodore), Patrick Carswell (Christine), Albert Carswell, Merissa Lachapelle (feu Marcel) (Denis), Lynda Beauparlant (Marc), Réné Carswell, and Robert Carswell (Carole). Predeceased by her daughter Eugenie Carswell. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 39 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all the care partners and doctors who have made her journey comfortable.
Rolande was an avid knitter who enjoyed watching game shows, cheering for the Montreal Canadiens and making puzzles. The family will receive friends at the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral home on Wednesday, August 23rd 2023 from 7pm to 9pm and on Thursday, August 24th from 10am to 1pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 at 1pm at the Sacré-Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Prédécédée par sa fille Eugenie Carswell. Son souvenir restera grave dans la mémoire de ses 39 petits-enfants, 93 arrières-petits-enfants et 19 arrières-arrières-petits-enfants. Prédécédée par tout ses frères et soeurs. La famille tient à remercier tous les préposés aux soins ainsi que les docteurs pour leur compassion.
Rolande aimait tricoter, les jeux télévisés, les joutes des Canadiens de Montréal et les casse-têtes. La famille recevra parents et amis au salon funéraire Theoret Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls, le mercredi 23 août, 2023 de 19h00 à 21h00 ainsi que le jeudi 24 août, 2023 de 10h00 à 13h00. Une messe funéraire sera célébrée le jeudi 24 août, 2023 à 13h00 à l’église Sacré-Coeur, Sturgeon Falls.
