It is with great sadness the family of the late Roland Young announce his passing on Sunday September 17th 2023. Leaving to mourn his wife of 54 years Mary (nee. Wall). Good feathered buddy (Buddy Bird), sister-in-law, known as a sister Eileen Morgan (Greg), Brother-in-law Ray Wall (Doreen). Doreen Skeard, Ern Wall (Karen), Beryl Vincent (Al), Glenda Haynes.
Raised by his grandparents; Henry and Naomi Young. His mother; Dorothy Noel. Brother; Bernell Anstey (Brenda). Sisters; Melinda Anstey, Pearle, and Roslyn Sweetapple (Bob). Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Predeceased by his brother Cliff Young (Bess), Ralph and Emma Young.
A visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday September 20, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Temple on Thursday September 21st 2023 at 2PM with Major Brian Wheeler officiating.
As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, a donation can be made in Roland’s memory to the Janway or Salvation Army Temple, Corner Brook.
