Tizzard, Roger Morgan – 74, Amherst, passed away Saturday, January 14th, 2023 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Hillgrade, NL, he was a son of the late Aubrey and Rowena (Watkins) Tizzard. Roger worked with CN Rail for over 30 years. After retirement, he and Debby spent 7 winters in Zephyrhills, FL. Roger loved playing guitar and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Debby Lloy; son, Ron (Julia) Lavers, Amherst; Christene McCutcheon, Beaverbank; Charlene (Jamie) Mattinson, Kolbec; grandchildren, Liam and Samantha McCutcheon, Madeline and Katelyn Mattinson and Elliot Lavers; brothers, Malcolm (Coreen), Kolbec; Garry (Janet), Collingwood; Michael (Mary), Alvinston, ON. He was predeceased by sister, Elizabeth. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 20, with Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21, both in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Oxford. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
