Époux de feu Claudette Michaud (née Lévesque). Père tant aimé de Carole Pumputis (Mark). Prédécédé par son fils Gilles. Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants Patrick (Sarah) et Philip. Frère de Madeleine Bradley (Robert), Ghislaine Rivet (Rhéal), Huguette Digioacchino (Sergio) et Yves (Natalie). Prédécédé par ses frères Noël (feu Madeleine) et Jean Guy (Annabelle). Lui survivent également son amie Marie-Anne Pronovost ainsi que ses belles sœurs Pauline Pilon, Marie-Reine Lévesque et son beau- frère Roger Lévesque (Huguette). Prédécédé par ses beaux- frères Ernest, Père Palma M. AFR. Fernand et sa belle- sœur Cécile, sans oublier ses nombreux neveux, nièces, amis, collègues et associés depuis de nombreuses années. Roger était un homme d’affaires érudit avec une connaissance profonde mais subtile du monde des affaires. Un francophone convaincu, il était un fier membre du Club Richelieu de Sturgeon Falls et du Club Calumet. Sa passion pour les loisirs en plein air lui valait une place particulière parmi ses amis qui pratiquaient la motoneige, les véhicules tous terrains, le camping en roulotte et les randonnés sur les pistes du Nipissing Ouest jusqu’au Nord-Ouest Québécois. On se souviendra surtout de Roger pour son amour inconditionnel pour son épouse et sa famille. Avec son esprit de collaboration communautaire, Roger rayonnait lorsqu’il participait aux diverses activités. Sa générosité bienveillante mais discrète lui fournissait l’occasion de soutenir financièrement de nombreuses œuvres caritatives de la région. Nous garderons de Roger le doux souvenir d’un homme ferme qui partageait ses connaissances et son expertise avec ceux et celles qu’il aimait. Pleine de reconnaissance et d’affection, sa famille désire reconnaitre l’excellence des soins et des services prodigués par les professionnels de la santé à l’hôpital Général du Nipissing Ouest, Lynn Lawson infirmière praticienne, Heartsease Home Care avec Lynn Otonicar et ses employés ainsi que toute l’équipe de Paramed. Vos gestes et vos délicatesses nous ont profondément touchés. La famille Michaud recevra parents et amis au Salon Funéraire Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls le vendredi 5 mai de 14h00 à 16h00 et de 19h00 à 21h00. La messe funéraire sera célébrée le samedi 6 mai à 12h00 à l’église Sacré-Cœur, Sturgeon Falls. Une réception suivra à la Salle Communautaire Marcel Noël, Sturgeon Falls. The family of Roger Michaud announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls on Wednesday, January 4th 2023, at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Gilbert and of the late Clarisse (née Dubuc) Michaud. Husband of the late Claudette Michaud (née Lévesque). Beloved father of Carole Pumputis (Mark). Predeceased by his son Gilles. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Patrick (Sarah) and Philip. Brother of Madeleine Bradley (Robert), Ghislaine Rivet (Rhéal), Huguette Digioacchino (Sergio) and Yves (Natalie). Predeceased by his brothers Noël (late Madeleine) and Jean Guy (Annabelle). Survived by his friend Marie-Anne Pronovost as well as his sisters-in-law Pauline Pilon, Marie-Reine Lévesque and brother-in-law Roger Lévesque (Huguette). Predeceased by his brothers-in-law Ernest, Father Palma M. AFR., Fernand and sister-in-law Cécile, as well as his many nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues and long-time associates. Roger was a learned businessman with a deep but subtle knowledge of the business world. An unapologetic francophone, he was a proud member of the Club Richelieu of Sturgeon Falls and of the Club Calumet. His passion for outdoor recreation earned him a special place among his friends who practiced snowmobiling, all-terrain vehicles, and trailer camping on the trails of West Nipissing to Northwestern Quebec. Roger will be best remembered for his unconditional love for his wife and family. With his spirit of community collaboration, Roger radiated when he participated in various activities. His benevolent but discreet generosity provided him with the opportunity to financially support many charities in the region. We will fondly remember Roger as a firm but caring man who shared his knowledge and expertise with those he loved. Full of gratitude and affection, his family wishes to recognize the excellence of the care and services provided by the health professionals at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Lynn Lawson nurse practitioner, Heartsease Home Care with Lynn Otonicar and her employees, as well as the entire team at Paramed. Your kind gestures and delicate care for Roger touched us deeply. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls on Friday, May 5th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6th at 12pm at the Sacré-Cœur Church, Sturgeon Falls. A reception will follow at the Marcel Noël Community Hall, Sturgeon Falls. Funeral arrangements in care of Théorêt-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
