Robert “Sid” Sidney Van Petten
(July 9, 1956 – July 16, 2023)
Robert “Sid” Sidney Van Petten of Ohaton, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the age of 67 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Peggy Van Petten of Ohaton; children Wes Van Petten of Red Deer, and Curtis Van Petten (Kim Macdonald) of Edmonton; three grandchildren; siblings Norm (Brenda) Van Petten of Kelsey, Val (Dale) Falk of Camrose, and Marj (Stan) Pudlowski of Camrose; sister-in-law Virginia Van Petten of Kelsey; brother-in-law Dan Campbell of Hanna; and many nieces and nephews.
Sid was predeceased by his parents Stewart and Clarece Van Petten; brothers Arnold and Dennis; and sisters Kathy Van Petten, Diane Van Petten, and Connie Campbell.
A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023 at the Norsemen Inn, 6505 – 48th Ave Camrose, officiated by Rev. Brian Hunter.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Sid’s memory may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital or to the MS Society .
