The passing of Robert “John” McGivney of Nashwaak Village, NB, occurred on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born on October 8, 1956 in Toronto, ON, he was a son of the late John and Anna “Pauline” (Forbes) McGivney.
John is survived by his siblings, Barry Croll (Betty) of Toronto, ON, Richard McGivney of Nashwaak Village, NB, Brian McGivney (Trish) of Douglas, NB, Janet Ann Mason of Calgary, AB and Julie McGivney of Oshawa, ON; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sister, Cheryl Croll.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. A Private Family Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
