The family of Robert (Bob) William Bruce Martin of Duncan is saddened to announce his passing on February 3rd 2023, at the age of 60 years.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his mother Sandra Martin, sisters Joanne (Dennis) Marsh and Natalie Martin, as well as his numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his father William (Bill) Martin.
Bob was born in Whitehorse, Yukon. He grew up in Colwood and Metchosin playing Triangle Little League baseball, Juan de Fuca minor hockey, and sailing competitively with his dad in the waters near Sidney. Bob drove his Old Time Race Car (number 52) at Western Speedway with the OTRA.
For the last 20 years Bob worked for Mount Sicker Logging as a heavy equipment operator building logging roads on the west coast.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday April 1st 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Ramada in Duncan at 140 Trans-Canada Hwy. All friends, family, and former co-workers are welcome.
