Rob Elias passed away in Wetaskiwin on February 23, 2023 at the age of 68 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Cheryl; son, Kent (Erin); daughter, Jessica (Orion) Rutley; grandchildren, Taryn and Ryan; brother, Stan (Connie); sisters, Sharon and Charlotte; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rob was predeceased by parents, George and Kirstine; sister, Signe; brothers, David and Steve. Rob moved to Wetaskiwin in 1959, was a brother to Sharon, Signe, Dave, Charlotte, Stan and Steve. He met Cheryl in 1979 and married his best friend in 1981. Rob welcomed the birth of his son, Kent and daughter, Jessica. He owned and operated Elias Auto Service for 17 years and was a rural mail carrier for 16 years. Rob loved God, family, being a grandpa, friends, all the people he met though out his jobs and time outdoors. Rob was a man of few words but listened and treasured what others said. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Wetaskiwin Mission Church (3610- 56 Avenue, Wetaskiwin.) Donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, (11560 University Ave. Edmonton, Alberta. T6G 1Z2) or the charity of donor’s choice.
