Robert Michael Jacquard – age 70, of Pembroke, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away on June 22, 2023, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. Born in Yarmouth on May 15, 1953, he was a son to the late Laurence and Mary (Crosby) Jacquard. Robert started his career as a fisherman and then ran a small group options home for over 25. He is survived by his sons, Gregory (Tracey) Flemming; Glen (Rhonda) Flemming; daughters, Katheryn (Glen) Minty, Michelle and Carrie; brother, Charles “Chuck” Jacquard; sisters, Karen Wesley and Linda (Malcolm) Johnson; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents Robert was predeceased by his first wife Wilma, second wife, Dorothy; and sister, Janice Black. Cremation has taken place under the care of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held July 4,2023 at 2 p.m. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Moses officiating. Reception to follow the service at the Royal Canadian Legion br. 61, Parade St. Yarmouth. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
