Obituary of Richard Dean
August 5, 1947 – August 3, 2023
Richard Eric Dean of Arnprior passed away peacefully on Thursday August 3, 2023, at the Ottawa General Hospital following a brave battle with cancer just two days before his 76th birthday. He was the Beloved Husband of 48 years to Nancy (Payer) and Devoted Father to his children, Eric Dean (Liz) of Constance Bay and Katie Dean, at home. The joy of his life were his granddaughters, Morgan and Alexis. Richard was predeceased by his brother Brian (2015), his infant brother Robert, and was the son of the late William Eric and Naida Dean. He will be deeply missed by his canine pal Dexter. Richard was known for his dedication to his profession, working tirelessly in construction and carpentry, with a particular expertise in flooring. A man of many trades, strength and unwavering work ethic, Richard was deeply respected by his peers and loved by his family. Richard’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. A graveside service will be held at the Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery, Monday August 14, 2023. In memory of Richard, a donation may be made to the Arnprior and District Humane Society.
