The passing of Richard Stewart Foster of St. Stephen, NB,
occurred on Monday June 26, 2023, at the Doctor Everett Chalmers
Regional Hospital, in Fredericton, at the age of 68. Born in
Burtt’s Corner, NB, on July 16, 1954, he was a son of
Stewart and Elizabeth “Betty” (Brewer)
Foster.
A finish carpenter by trade, Richard enjoyed building
furniture. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
He is survived by his children Sherri Lynn Johnston
(Stephen), Angie Buchanan (Todd); 3 grandchildren Madeline and Rachel
Johnston, Alex Buchanan; 2 sisters Laurie Moir (Mike) and Beth Foster
(Randy); nieces Jessica, Allison, Megan, Keyra and Brenna; great niece
Amara; 2 great nephews Connor and Finley. He also leaves behind his
beloved dog, Lexi. Richard was predeceased by his wife Sue
Foster.
At the family’s request, there will be no
visitation or funeral service. A graveside committal will take place
in the Burtt’s Corner Community Cemetery on Friday July 7,
2023 at 1:00 PM.
For those wishing to make a memorial donation in
Richard’s memory, the family have suggested Fredericton
& Oromocto SPCA’s or Capital Region Mental Health
& Addictions Inc.
Bishop’s Funeral Home and Crematorium have been
entrusted with the arrangements.
