Obituary
Richard Shayne Crowson – August 28, 1957 – August 27, 2023.
Rick is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Diane Crowson, his father, Michael Crowson (Virginia), his sister, Pamela Crowson Franks (John), nephew, Shayne Grimmer, stepsisters Rhonda Staples (Kevin) and Sage Staples (Mike) and step-nephews Sebastien and Nathaniel. He is predeceased by his mother, Barbara Crowson (nee Murray).
Rick grew up in North Vancouver and was a natural athlete who enjoyed playing soccer, snow skiing and was a member of the Vancouver Ski Team. He was also an avid golfer. He received a Teaching Certificate from the University of British Columbia in 1983, but his love for golf led him to a long professional career as a golf pro in British Columbia and Arizona. After retiring from his golf pro career, he worked in the wine industry in Penticton.
Rick touched so many lives with his sense of humour and easy-going personality. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Rick is set for Saturday, September 16th at 1 pm at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Centre on 2965 South Main Street.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made in Rick’s name to the following charities:
