1947 – 2023
Courageously and surrounded by his family, Reinhard Moellenbeck passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023 (Family Day) at the age of 75 years.
Reinhard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ruth Moellenbeck of 53 years; his son Jason Moellenbeck; daughter-in-law Sarah Moellenbeck; grandchildren: Heidi and Jeremy Moellenbeck; as well as many extended family members, neighbours, friends, and business connections.
Reinhard was born in Rhede, Germany in 1947 and was the youngest of eleven children. He met his wife Ruth at the age 16 and they made their way to Canada for more opportunities. He studied civil engineering and started Com-Con Construction Company in 1976, a company that continues to thrive in St. Albert under the administration of his son Jason. He could fix anything, loved sports and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was the grandkids biggest supporter and was at every soccer and hockey game. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
A private memorial service will be held to honor him in April, 2023. Those wishing to make a contribution in his memory may donate to the Cross Cancer Institute.
Arrangements entrusted to Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home.
