Rayana Persaud
Was born August 31st, 1965, to Ernest and Ruby Sookraj Persaud and on Sunday, January 1st, 2023 joined our Lord. Rayana, was the 10th of 11 of children, although she was born with Down Syndrome, she had a unique way of connecting with everyone. Her infectious laughter, sassy nature, and big heart, touched the lives of many and she will be greatly missed by everyone. She loved going to school or as she would say “work” and taking the bus on her own made her feel independent. Rayana loved going to church on Sunday’s and singing her favorite song, Yes Jesus Loves Me”. This dancing queen is definitely dancing. She is survived by 10 siblings, 21 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, 6 aunties and 1 uncle and all of her cousins and great cousins.
A celebration of life and viewing are as follows:
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 4th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5th, 2023, at 10:30 am at The Chapel Ridge Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has request that donations be made to the Down Syndrome Society and or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
