Surrounded by the love of her family and friends, Rachelle peacefully left our arms on March 24, 2023 and was embraced by the loving arms of her best friend and dad waiting for her in Heaven. While our hearts feel her absence, we are comforted knowing she has found eternal comfort and rest.
Rachelle was such a loving and supportive mother to Karla and mother-in-law to Eric. She was a proud and dedicated Nana to Charlotte and Claire. She was the cherished and protective big sister to Sallie (Tom), Tim (Sue) and Robin. She will be reunited with her parents who have gone before her (Joe and Yvette Nantais), along with her sister Stella and her brother Mark. Rachelle was also loved by many cousins, friends, nieces and nephews who will miss her presence dearly.
For over 40 years, Rachelle was the hard-working and successful salon owner of Rachelle’s Hair and Aesthetics in Lasalle. She had a passion for making others feel good about themselves and making connections. Over the years, her employees and clients became friends, and many like family.
Rachelle had the most generous spirit and loved to share whatever she had with others, even if meant not having for herself. She lived by the motto “Sharing is Caring” and loved to cook for her family, friends or those in need. Her home-cooked meals were a sign of her love and were enjoyed by those who were fortunate to receive these gifts.
In honour of Rachelle’s memory, we ask that you share something with someone you love or even a stranger. Share a meal, a compliment or your time. If you wish to make a donation, we ask that you consider supporting Transition to Betterness. This organization cared for Rachelle and her loved ones during her final days with respect by providing comfort items and small acts of kindness.
Visiting Monday March 27, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00pm until time of service at 8:00 p.m. at Families First 2130 Front Rd. LaSalle, 519-969-5841. Cremation to follow.
