Burton Pinder passed away peacefully at Brucelea Haven Retirement Home with family at his side, on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Marya (nee Bieman) for 61 years. Loving father of Beth (Tom) Fischer and Mark, all of Mildmay. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Skyler (Brooklyn), Coulton (Tabrina), Connor (Katie), Lyle (Tara), Kristopher, Bailey (Luke), and the late baby Robert. Great-Grandfather of Carter, Emma, Jackson, and Hailey. Burton will be greatly missed by sister Betty (the late Bob) Morrow, brother Bruce (Karen), and sister Brenda (Brian) Robertson, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Burton was truly committed to his family, community, and church. The owner of the Cheese Haus in Mildmay for 33 years, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Business and Tourist Associations, and loved his Antique Car Club, attending many events and displaying his antique cars. He was named Citizen of the Year in 1988.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26th from 2-5 pm at Greg Roberts Funeral Home, Mildmay with a service held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Clifford on Monday, February 27th at 11 am followed by a luncheon. Columbarium interment at a later date.
Donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Clifford or the Mildmay Chamber of Commerce may be made in lieu of flowers.
