The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital,
Charlottetown on Saturday, August 12, 2023 of Phyllis Mary Jones of
Alberton aged 84, wife of the late Russell Jones. Phyllis was born on
August 16, 1938 in Campbellton, daughter of the late Joseph and
Winnifred (Perry) Jones.
Cherished mom to Russell (Sharon), Bonnie (Peter) Mallett,
Ricky (Sandra), Ann (Wayne Coles), Terri (Garth) Gallant, Rodney
(JaiDeane Hiltz) and Michael (Kerri). Loving nannie to 14
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister to Martha
MacDonald, Vincent (Zelma) Jones, Patsy Ellis and sister in law to
Frankie Keefe. Phyllis will also be missed by her dear friend Jack
O’Brien along with her nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents, husband Russell
(1974), grandson Peter Russell (1970), brother Roy, sisters Dorothy,
Bonita and brother in law Garth MacDonald.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with a
time for sharing of memories and celebrating her life on Wednesday
from 6-8pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Roman
Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in the
parish cemetery.
