Phyllis (Peterson) Connors Chamberlain, of Riverview and formerly of Blackville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Moncton City Hospital, at the age of 92.
Born in Upper Blackville, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Cassie (Arbeau) Peterson. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church, in Blackville and Truth Tabernacle of Greater Moncton.
Mom was always up for an Adventure. Her most recent was meeting and marrying her new Best friend Gerald. They have had many adventures and a year full of laughter.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Gerald Chamberlain of Riverview; two daughters Sharon Turriff (Terry) of Dawson Settlement and Joy Furlong (Late Louis) of Doaktown; two sons Eugene Connors (Linda) and Troy Connors both of Upper Blackville; stepson David Chamberlain (Ruth) of Turtle Creek; sister Alma Wilson (Late Perley) of Upper Blackville; two sons-in-law Richard Furlong and Troy Donohue; brother-in-law Clyde Arbeau; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Alonzo Connors; daughters Lorenda Furlong and Twila Donohue; brothers Claude Peterson, Hinson Peterson, and Merle Peterson; and sisters Leta Arbeau, and Laura Miner.
The family will receive relatives and friends from New Life United Pentecostal Church, in Blackville, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held from New Life United Pentecostal Church on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 1:30 pm with Pastor Lester Mitchell officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to New Life United Pentecostal Church or Truth Tabernacle of Greater Moncton.
