Peter “John” Lowe passed away peacefully at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre after a brief battle with cancer. John leaves to mourn with fond memories his loving wife Noreen (nee Plowman), his devoted children: Justin (Jennifer). Jessica (Scott) and his cherished grandchildren: Georgia, Lana, Marlee, and Marshall. His siblings: Martin, Tom, (Maureen), Madonna (Brian), Mark (Sandra), Mary (Chris), Gertrude (Emedee), Gerald (Mary), Dennis (Naomi ), Hilda (Clarence), Janet (Brian), Colleen (Jarvis) and Wayne (June); Sister-in-law Hilda Lavers (Joe) and brother-in-law Everett Plowman, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
John is predeceased by his parents Martin and Madeline Lowe, brothers Bill and Harry, siblings-in-law Henery Plowman, Olga Plowman, Clyde and Bertha Plowman, Dolly and Jake Gould, Alma Plowman, Marie Lowe and Ilene Lowe, nephews Mark Lowe Jr. and Blair Payne, nieces Cindy Gould and Rosalee Gould.
John was a good friend to everyone who knew him and loved to make people laugh. He was well known in his younger years for his love of hockey and later in life his talents at playing guitar and many other musical instruments. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin with his wife and best friend of over 50 years.
His family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre and Western Memorial Regional Hospital for providing such wonderful care to John in his final days.
A celebration of John’s life will take place on Thursday, September 14th, 2023 at 6pm at the Town Center in Port Saunders.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Port Saunders Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of one’s choice.
