Peter John Spyk, age 58, of Athens was peacefully called home to his Saviour on Wednesday June 28th, 2023. Pete was the beloved husband of Margaret (nee Verburg). Dear father to Taylor, John (Bethany) and Madison. Loving brother to Lucy (Steve) Maber, Elaine (Seref) Demir, and Rick Spyk. Predeceased by both his mother (Tina) and father (John). He was an amazing uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pete will be dearly missed by many friends and members of the community. We are all comforted to know that he is in a better place.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects to the Athens CRC on Monday, July 3rd 5:30pm-8:30. A funeral service will be at held at Athens CRC on Tuesday July 4th 10:30-11:30. Interment to follow and will be held at the Glen Elbe Cemetery.
In memoriams to Pancreatic Cancer Canada or Compassion Canada will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
