It is with sadness we announce the passing of Peter Gardner on Wednesday June 21, 2023. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 61 years, Sarah (Sally) Gardner, his son Dr. Charles Gardner, daughter-in-law Catherine and grandsons Nicholas (Brea) and Jonathan. He is also survived by his great-niece Kendra Lee Mills and her son Frankie Southern, nephew Brent Betts, and many other nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Reta Gardner, brother Don and son Russ.
Peter was a devoted hospital pharmacist and Director of Pharmacy in St. Thomas and Parry Sound. He loved classical music and was a great supporter of the Festival of the Sound. He loved nature, passed this to his family, and was a supporter of The Nature Conservancy of Canada.
The family wishes to thank his care givers (Arlene Hicks, Roxanne Yarndley, Jessica Cargill, Judy Green) and the staff of The West Parry Sound Heath Centre.
The cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes St. Parry Sound. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of The West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation.
