Peter Charles McElhaney passed away at his home in Red Deer, Alberta on April 11th, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Peter is lovingly remembered by his fiancé Kathy Kosowan of Red Deer, Alberta. His two sons, of whom he loved dearly, Peter (Sean) McElhaney and Keith McElhaney both of Calgary, Alberta. Kathy’s children, Nathan (Christa) of Eckville, Alberta, Ryley (Samantha) of Lacombe, Alberta, and Evan (Emily) of Calgary Alberta. The three children in his life who called him Grandpa, Brier, Owen and Olivea. Also feeling the sadness and emptiness of his loss are many people who were fortunate enough to call this man a friend and co-worker. Peter was predeceased by his father Pete McElhaney in 1969, as well as his mother Katerina (Kay) McElhaney (ne Jung) in 2013. A funeral mass will be held for Peter at his home parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4816 55 Ave, Red Deer Alberta on Saturday, May 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
