It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Penny Durocher on June 8, 2023 at the age of 76.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jean-Paul Durocher and her daughter Lisa Sutherland (Dwayne).
Penny also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Briana and Brandy Sutherland. Also left to mourn are her sister Caroline Grey (Late Ron) as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law on the Durocher side including many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Eleanor and Charles Straiton.
She was born and raised in Iroquois Falls and came to live in Timmins in 1967. Penny had a love for dogs and kids and she enjoyed being the “neighborhood babysitter”.
Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place. A graveside service will take place at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to the Timmins Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
