It is with great sadness that our family announces the
passing of Paul M. Robichaud, 88, on Saturday February
11th, 2023 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC
after a brief illness. Born in Saint-Charles, Paul was the
son of the late Martin and Anna (Robichaud) Robichaud.
Prior to retirement, Paul was a merchant marine, having
sailed to many places in the world. He enjoyed his work but preferred
returning home to Grande-Aldouane to be with his family. Paul and his
wife later moved to Moncton to be closer to their daughters and their
families.
Paul is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose (Rosie
Poirier); his two daughters: Paulette (Ross Beach) and
Gisèle (Marc Boudreau), all of Moncton; six grandchildren:
Samantha Cornect (Jimmy) of Petitcodiac, Mathew Cornect (Marina) of
Regina, Jonathan Cornect (Angela) of Moncton, Samuel Mazerolle of
Québec, Philippe Mazerolle of Montréal, and
Christine Tobin (Brian) of Riverview; six great-grandchildren: Jay,
Avery and Samuel Patterson; Madelyn and Nathan Cornect; and Gage
Cornect. Paul was pleased to know twin great-granddaughters were
expected for this June; his precious little dog, Tiqua; as well as
several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and
nephews.
A special thank you to the staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
UHC for the wonderful care Paul received.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday February 23 at 3 pm.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 1 pm until time of funeral. Interment
will be in Frenette Columbarium. In memory of Paul, a contribution to
the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.
