Paul Harvey Ehler – 72, Brookfield. With extremely
heavy hearts, the family of Paul Ehler announces his passing on
Thursday evening, February 2, 2023.
Paul is survived by his common-law spouse, Lisa Joudrie;
daughter, Keisha (Nate Watson); son, Justin (Chelsey Phillips);
cherished grandchildren, Liam, Connor, Abby, Aubreigh, Alyvia; many
friends and family.
Paul lived a joyful and adventurous life, with passions for
fishing, hunting and tinkering in his garage. He was a kind, loving
and devoted husband, father and Papa, ready with a joke or a kind word
to brighten someone’s day. Paul brought happiness to so many
people, especially when singing and playing the guitar. Singing his
favourite old-time country tunes brought a twinkle to his eyes and a
smile to his face that was contagious to everyone around
him.
Paul’s pride and joy came from being called
“Papa”. He shared so many unforgettable memories with his
grandchildren, like their fishing trips and love for the outdoors,
that will live on amongst them. Although his absence will leave a void
in the lives of those who loved him, Paul’s spirit will live
on through the countless lives he touched on earth.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Paul’s
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 8,
2023, and funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, Reverend
Valerie Kingsbury officiating. If so desired, donations in
Paul’s memory to Colchester SPCA are welcomed. Private
