We are very saddened to announce the passing of Paul Saville on March 11, 2023.
Paul was born in Fergus, ON., March 22,1948. He was predeceased by his parents Norman Saville
(initially “Savell”) and Alma Saville (nee Dickson) and his sister Noelle Saville. He is survived by several
cousins in England.
Paul lived and was passionate about what he wanted and getting the help he needed; while in hospital
he also advocated for the type of death he wanted. He said he no longer wanted to bear the pain that
was part of his lot in life and requested MAID (Medical Assistance In Dying). Matthew Maynard, Sarah
Neville and John Dungey were there as his friends to support Paul at the end and provide witness to
Paul’s last hours.
His remains have been cremated as he requested. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date,
in celebration of Paul’s life.
