It is with sadness that the family of Patrick Clifford Martin announces that on December 31st, 2022 he joined his late wife in heaven. Born to Clifford Martin and Ellen Raymond (Paul) on April 8th 1948. Late husband of Rebecca Martin. Proud father of Cynthia Cornejo (Francisco). And Grandfather to Matilda Cornejo and Eloise Cornejo. Proud brother to Jim Martin (Annette) and Michael Martin (Verla). Loving uncle to Stephen Martin (Christine) and Christopher Martin.
Patrick loved the water. He was fortunate enough to grow up on the shores of Rondeau Bay where he made many memorable memories with his brothers and close friends. As life continued he found himself in a wonderful career working for the Government as a tax assessor. Shortly after joining the assessment department he met and married his late wife Rebecca, then welcoming their only daughter Cynthia. The family of 3 enjoyed many adventures together even lovingly naming themselves “The Clampets”. Patrick was fortunate to retire at an early age in life where he was able to enjoy the fruits of his labour for many years following.
The family would like to specifically thank Nicole Zonderland who provided amazing care for Patrick over the past few years as well as his PSW’s from Bayshore. The family will be privately remembering Patrick at a future date and time. Those wishing to make donations in Patrick’s name are asked to please consider donating to Chatham-Kent Hospice.
