Obituary
Patricia Simpson (Bytheway), of Waterdown, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Joseph Brant Hospital. She was 78. Pat was born on November 13, 1944 in Birmingham, England. She graduated from the University of Windsor at the top of her nursing class. In 1967 she married David Simpson, and together they had 3 children, Mark (Nadine), Beth (Jason), and Jake (Krysta). She is survived by her many grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, and her beloved twin sister Jackie.
Pat worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and dedicated herself to improving the lives of so many through her warm and unwavering dedication to teaching and caring for others. She was also dedicated to her community and her church, especially the children and earned many awards and recognitions for her work. She was always so generous with her time and truly loved improving the lives of others. She will be greatly missed.

Memorial Services will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N, Waterdown. Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 7 – 9 p.m. A Service will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life until 5 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to Joseph Brant Hospital or Plan International.
