Hansen, Patricia “Pat” Imelda Joyce (nee Tunney)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 3, 2023 at 96 years of age. Reunited with her Loving husband James “Jim,” her son Paul, her sister Maureen, and her brother Christopher. Cherished mother of Anthony (Aldina) and David (Nicolle) Hansen. Beloved Nana of Dina, Joseph, Alison, Kaitlyn, and Natalie. Pat will be sadly missed by her extended family and dear friends.
Patricia grew up near London, was educated at a convent school in Ilford Es and survived the London Blitz of WW2.She began her teaching vocation in the United States as part of an exchange program between the US and Britain. She moved to Canada and became a full time teacher in Kenora and Winnipeg where she also met and married her beloved Jimmy.They eventually relocated to Hamilton where their three sons were born and she mixed looking after them with part time teaching. Pat devoted most of her other years to the Rygiel Home and the CWL, of which she was president, and especially Annunciation of our Lord Parish where she was sacristan for many years.

Visitation Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 6:30 p.m. at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home (796 Upper Gage Ave., Hamilton, ON.).
On Monday, January 9, 2023 family and friends are invited to meet at Annunciation of Our Lord Church (280 Limeridge Rd W, Hamilton, ON) for the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
