Obituary
Pat was 81 when she passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023, in the Bulkley Lodge in Smithers, BC.
Pat was born November 4, 1941, in Vancouver, BC to Ed and Vera Jacobsen. She attended school at Vancouver Technical Secondary.
Pat enjoyed working and hanging out with friends at her parents’ bowling alley. She moved to 100 Mile House and then to Williams Lake where she continued to be an elite bowler. She won many competitions and went onto place 2nd in the Western Canadian Championships.
She and her husband Rod and her 3 children finally made their way to Houston, BC in 1979. They eventually settled in the Buck Flats area. Pat absolutely loved her “piece of heaven” up there with all her farm animals and dogs.
Pat is survived by her younger sister Karen, sons Philip, Paul (Gayle) and daughter Leigh-Anne (Kelly), 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Roddy.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and nurses and staff of the Bulkley Lodge and to everyone that has reached out. A Celebration of Life is planned for the family and close friends in the near future where her cremated remains will be laid to rest at her request.
