Passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Paddie Lythgoe, in her 91st year, beloved wife for 61 years of the late Colin Lythgoe. Loving mother of Maria (Brian Oliver), Elizabeth (Barry Baynes), James, Andrew, Kate and grand mother to Nathan Baynes (Jennah), Tom Baynes (Brian Johnson), Julia Oliver (Matt Whelen), Peter Oliver, Gabrielle Oliver and great grandmother to Benjamin and Avery Baynes and Oliver Johnson.
Paddie loved her pets, cooking, gardening, being a docent at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, being a member of the Fiber Arts Guild of Fredericton and time at her cottage on Pince Edward Island.
Friends and family may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9am until time of memorial service in the chapel at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa.
A special thank you to the staff at the Red Oak Retirement Home and the St. Elizabeth staff for their incredible care, kindness and professionalism towards Paddie as she made her final journey. Donations to the Ottawa Food Bank or SPCA gratefully accepted.
