Obituary
Ovilla Bernice Dickie, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Born in Hardwood Ridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Estella (MacAlister) Egers. Ovilla retired with 43 years of service with NB Tel as a Telephone operator. Ovilla was a member of the NB Tel Pioneer, she volunteered with Christmas Daddies, loved country music, playing horseshoes and playing her guitar.
Ovilla is survived by her daughters, Debbie Wolthers (Mitch) and Shelley Stewart (Nelson); grandchildren, Robbie (Shawna), Ashley (Ben), Troy, Billy (Sophie) and Joey (Terri-Lynn) as well as several great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of the immediate family. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ronald Dickie and brothers Alexander, Oswald, Lorne, Orval, Roland, Ross and Dow.
A time to celebrate Ovilla’s life and share memories, will be held on Sunday, March 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM form Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (858-1995).
In lieu of donations, we ask you honor Ovilla by doing a good deed for someone.
