Orlando Cuglietta
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Orlando Cuglietta passed away on May 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81. He is survived by the love of his life, Angela, with whom he shared 56 wonderful years of marriage. He leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity to his children Anna-Maria (Gerrit), Laura (Michel), Carla (Tyler), Melissa (Jonathan), Amanda (Steve) and grandchildren Julia, Aiden, Winter, Quinn, Grace and Gabriel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna (nee: Pino) and father Luigi, his sisters Angela, Rosaria, and Maria and brothers Giovanni and Giuseppe.
Orlando was born in Aiello Calabro on July 11, 1941. Although he lived and enjoyed his life in Canada, he was a proud Italian through and through. He loved to laugh and spend time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed, and his life will be continually celebrated.
A Prayer Service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue NW, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation.
