It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Olga Laden on June 15, 2023 at the age of 88 years.
Olga will be forever loved and remembered by her children Lila Hunt (David), Natalie Laden (Craig), Allan Laden, Kim Zaborniak (Mitchell), Lawrence Halowaty (Patti), her grandchildren Chantel Henderson (Mike), Cyndall Henderson (Steven), Matthew Halowaty, Hadley Zaborniak, Tristan Zaborniak, Katya Zaborniak, and her great grandchildren Jayden, Kairi, Tierney, Cordillia and Scarlette and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Mervin, her parents Steve and Mary Halowaty, her brother Danny Halowaty (Mary), sister Anne Galka (Tony) and parent in-laws Mike and Nettie Laden.
Olga was born in Springfield, Manitoba on September 17, 1934 and lived her entire life in the Cooks Creek area. She resided there and met the love of her life and married. Quickly thereafter built a house in Cooks Creek and started a family of 5.
Olga was a devoted house wife. She and her husband Mervin enjoyed traveling and would visit family and friends all over North America. Mom truly loved to tend to her yard, flowers and garden. Mom’s interests were baking, gardening, planting flowers, feeding the birds and sitting in her sunroom enjoying the outdoors and watching the deer and many other wildlife. You would often find her sitting doing word search puzzles.
Mom had a tender, loving side that was gentle and unconditional. Her love of family, dogs, cats and animals were at the forefront of who she was.
Olga will be very much missed.

Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we’ll eternally keep.
The family will be holding a private ceremony at Seasons Funeral Chapel in Oakbank.
