Roote, Nicholas Daniel, passed away suddenly in Toronto on Saturday January 14, 2023 at the age of 45. Proud father of Nikita Maisie Roote. Son of Michael Roote and the late Monica ‘Nikki’ Roote. Dear Brother to Marshall (Alyse Thompson) Roote and Kimberly (Derek) Roote. Uncle to Brody, Leda, Breanna, Brynn, Daniel, and Bailey. Also sadly missed and remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, best friend Jeff Harding, and many more friends.
From one of Nick’s favourite songs, Stevie Ray, Pride and Joy, “Love like ours won’t never grow old” is how he would want his family to remember him.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of Nick will be held at the James Mason Memorial Centre, Saugeen First Nation on Friday January 20, 2023 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment at the Saugeen Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
