It is with a heavy heart we announce the death of Nena Cano. She died peacefully at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston, ON, on June 20th, 2023, after a four year journey with bile duct cancer.
She is predeceased by her Father, Nerio Nestor Cano and her brother, Nerio Nestor Cano Jr. She is survived by her mother, Aliria Delgado, her husband of 41 years, Mario Ferrer, her daughter, Mariom Ferrer, her son, Fernando Ferrer, her two daughters-in-law, Jessica Sunter and Lara Ramirez, her grandchildren, Lucas and Emma Ferrer, her three sisters, Naivi, Nerva and Lisbeth Cano, her four nephews and three nieces.
Nena was born and raised in Venezuela, the eldest of five children. She immigrated with her family to Kingston in 2006. Nena worked in the food industry and was a devoted Catholic. We wish to thank all the health care providers, family and friends who helped to care for Nena over the last four years through her journey. She was well loved and will be remembered as a great daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, co-worker, neighbour and friend.
As per her wishes, there will not be a funeral or celebration of life. There will be a small catholic service at the burial on Saturday, June 24th at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 718 Division St, Kingston, ON www.stmaryscemetery.ca www.stmaryscemetery.ca
Con mucha tristeza anunciamos la muerte de Nena Cano. Ella murió pacíficamente en el hospital Providence Care en Kingston, ON, el 20 de Junio del 2023 después de un camino de cuatro años con cáncer de los ductos biliares del hígado. Fallecieron antes de ella su padre, Nerio Nestor Cano, y su hermano, Nerio Nestor Cano Jr.
La sobreviven su madre, Aliria Delgado, su esposo de 41 años, Mario Ferrer, su hija, Mariom Ferrer, su hijo, Fernando Ferrer, sus dos nueras, Jessica Sunter y Lara Ramirez, sus nietos, Lucas y Emma Ferrer, sus tres hermanas, Naivi, Nerva y Lisbeth Cano, cuatros sobrinos y tres sobrinas.
Nena nació y creció en Venezuela, la mayor de cinco hermanos. Ella emigró con su familia a Canadá en el 2006. Nena trabajó en la industria alimentaria y fue una devota católica. Nuestros más sinceros agradecimientos al personal de salud, familiares y amigos quienes ayudaron a Nena en estos últimos cuatro años. Ella fue muy querida y será recordada como una buena hija, esposa, madre, hermana, tía, empleada, vecina y amiga.
De acuerdo con sus deseos, no habrá funeral ni celebración de vida. Habrá una misa católica durante su entierro el Sábado, 24 de Junio a las 11:00 am en el cementerio St. Mary’s en el 718 Division St, Kingston, ON www.stmaryscemetery.ca www.stmaryscemetery.ca
