Obituary
Born on December 27, 1929 in Kingston, Ontario. Natalie passed away peacefully in her 94th year on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Trillium Retirement and Care Community in Kingston, Ontario. Devoted wife of the late Frank Hartin (2020) and mother to the late Tony Hartin (2015) (Elaine), Frank Hartin (Barb Foster) and grandmother to Becky Hartin, Cale Hartin and the late Bradley Hartin (2022). She is predeceased by her parents Anthony and Lola Holmes and her brothers Anthony and Donald Holmes. In addition to being a devoted mother to her sons, Tony and Frank, she was an avid golfer at the Napanee Golf Club for many years. She also curled, knitted (a skill she passed on to her granddaughter Becky), and loved to dance and write! If that wasn’t enough, she worked at the Napanee Beaver newspaper, the library at Queen’s University and even was a starter for a few years at Cataraqui Golf & Country Club. The family also wishes to deeply thank the Trillium Care Community and the staff of Harbour for the care and compassion given to Natalie since her residence in 2018. Funeral arrangements are with Hannah Funeral Home. To sign the guestbook and leave an online tribute see: www.hannahfuneralhome.com. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Napanee on Thursday June 1, 2023 at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Natalie’s memory can be made to a local charity of you choice.
