Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Murvyn Cowan of Olds, Alberta, formerly of Gainsborough, Saskatchewan at the age of 91 years. He slipped away peacefully at the Olds Hospital after a brief illness, with his loving family by his side.
Murvyn Allen Cowan was born to Linda and Arthur Cowan on August 24, 1931 and was the 6th of their family of 12 children. He attended school in the Fern District in his younger years and then took a Gas and Diesel Mechanic Course at Saskatoon University in 1954-55.

Our dad was the sort of dad that everyone hopes for. His unwavering support inspired his children and grandchildren with strength and confidence. He was a kind and generous man with a witty sense of humour who worked hard all his life to ensure his family was well provided for. He is our role model who we will always look up to and we will miss him dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Murvyn’s life will take place at Knox United Church, Gainsborough, SK. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Sandy Dalziel officiating. The interment will follow at the Gainsborough Cemetery.
